Where Are We in our Transition Time?

Although the Covid crisis interrupted our interim / transition process, we continue to move ahead.  

We have collected information about our Congregation, Community and Vision for the Mission Study paper:

• We have completed the celebration of our long and important history, making a large chart of the way we got to today.
• We have completed a survey of our congregation and compiled the results, and have accessed demographic data.  
• We have held two "Virtual Potlucks" to learn about our community.
• We have carried out a Visioning Process and found 5 directions we feel God is leading us in for our future.
• We have completed our Mission Study.
• The Committee on Ministry (COM) approved our Mission Study, and we have elected a Pastor Nominating Committee (PNC) to do the work of finding a candidate for us.

Our PNC has written our Mission Information Form (MIF) and have it posted now on the search site for the Presbyterian church (USA)! 

• Now the PNC will be receiving forms from interested pastors, and being interviewing and discerning.  
• They will winnow the applicants and listen for the guidance of the Spirit in choosing a candidate to present to the congregation.  

Meanwhile, there are other projects the congregation will continue to work on!
