Outreach & Ministries
2023 VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
was a huge success! We had 55 kids, 15 teens, and more than
15 adult helpers who shined Jesus' light.
Stay tuned for VBS 2024: SCUBA - diving into friendship with God!
BO-PEEP PRESCHOOL is our church’s longest running community outreach program. A well-respected early education in the Jamesville area, Bo-Peep was founded in 1967. We have served multiple generations of more than 1500 children, and are happy to accept admissions throughout the school year.
Registering now for fall. Check out the above BO-PEEP page for program & registration information.
JAMESVILLE FOOD PANTRY
The Jamesville Food Pantry falls under the umbrella of the Food Bank of Central New York. Many local families depend on the Food Pantry for needs. We’re happy to have several church members serving on the pantry's board of directors, and regularly send monetary donations to this worthy cause. This September we partnered with Fred Harle to purchase 450 lbs. of locally grown grass-fed beef to donate to the pantry.
During Advent and Christmas, we have an annual "Mitten Tree" to collect mittens, scarves and hats to be distributed through the Jamesville Food Pantry. Donations may be dropped off at the church building.
We offer use of our facilities to The River of Joy Baptist Church, Korean Language School, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, AA, and the CNY Flute Choir.
On several occasions throughout the past year, we prepared bagged breakfast for recipients at Isiah’s Table. Part of the Presbyterian Church (USA)’s 1001 New Worshiping Communities Initiative, “Isaiah’s Table is committed to mission in the neighborhood we are located, as well as supporting social justice and hunger ministries throughout the globe.”

SUPPORT for JES STUDENTS & FACULTY
We regularly look for opportunities to support our neighbors. Last year we collected 30 gift cards to help Jamesville Elementary school fill Christmas baskets for needy families in their population.
We also collected many generous donations to create the #1 selling "Taste of Jamesville" Bursting Basket. Gift cards were purchased at local restaurants to doubly support our community! This annual JES fundraiser supports the school's programs.
TEACHER RECOGNITION & ENCOURAGEMENT
We felt that reaching out to our JES faculty was important during the difficult Covid days. We sent treats on Teacher Appreciation Day and Valentine's Day, along with notes of encouragement.
INTERFAITH WORKS of CNY
We have gathered new and like-new coats and blankets for the refugee ministry of InterFaith Works. We also collected Welcome Kits for kitchens and made financial contributions.
