About Us

Jamesville Community Church is a long-standing witness to Christ in Jamesville and the surrounding community. Just next door to Syracuse, NY, Jamesville, while suburban, also retains a connection to the rural farms nearby. The former First Methodist Church of Jamesville and the First Presbyterian Church of Jamesville formally merged in 1957 to form this current community that is connected to both denominations. We built the current facility in 1966 and then and expanded in 1998. Pastors have come from both denominations over the years. Many families have long connections with this congregation, and new families say our warmth and welcome is what brought them and keeps them.
We are currently in a Transitional time with Supply Pastors, and are actively searching for a new Installed Pastor. Our discernment process is leading us in some exciting new directions as our committee works to find God's choice for our next Installed Pastor.
