About Us

We are a loving congregation and welcoming to all persons. We are both United Methodists and Presbyterians (PCUSA), the result of a merger in 1951 of the two churches in Jamesville. We think of ourselves as the Christian church, of and for the community, embracing all Christ followers who wish to share the love of God!

We are also happy to host the River of Joy Baptist Church in our church home. They are a Korean congregation who celebrated their 20th anniversary in 2023 and worship in our sanctuary at 12:30 each Sunday.

Pastor Search

Our Pastor Nominating Committee is in the process of searching for a permanent pastor. While we continue our search, we are delighted that our own Fred Harle will serve as Ministry Leader leading us in worship two times per month.

We also continue to enjoy a delightful assortment of inspirational guest worship leaders. Please join us, either in person, or online at our Facebook Live services!

News & Events

Our Annual Turkey Supper will take place on Saturday, November 15th from 4:30-6:30pm. Turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, squash, cranberries, & pie.
Proceeds help fund our local missions.

$15 adults, $6 children, ages 5 & under free. Take-outs $15.

As always, many hands are needed to make this community event a success.

Position open: Music Director - Jamesville Community Church is seeking a part-time
Music Director, who can play the organ, piano or guitar. The paid position is for an average of 7-9 hours a week. The Director will assist the pastor with Sunday morning worship, special
services, lead a small choir and congregational singing and play both contemporary and

Our Choir aways welcomes new voices! Practices are held at 9am each Sunday, before workshop service. No prior experience is needed!

Bible Study meets Tuesday mornings at 10:30 and is studying the Book of Luke using Adam Hamilton's study guide. All are welcome to join in at any time!

Vacation Bible School proved to be an incredible week at Jamesville Community Church! From July 21–25, True North VBS welcomed 45 kids and 30 volunteers for a fun-filled adventure learning to trust Jesus in our wild world. With songs, games, crafts, and Bible stories, lives were touched and hearts reminded that Jesus is our faithful friend—always!

We hosted the Jamesville Food Pantry for the summer while their regular location in the old firehouse is undergoing renovations. They have now temporarily relocated to the new firehouse across from the penitentiary. Food donations are greatly appreciated and may be dropped off at the church. Bring items with you on Sunday or call the office to set up a convenient time.

We are pleased to announce that Fred Harle is serving as our part-time Ministry Leader. Fred has been a member of Jamesville Community Church for more than 25 years, serving in numerous leadership capacities. Select the ABOUT US menu at the top of this page for a better understanding of Fred and his position.

Worship With Us Online or In Person
10:00am Sundays is our worship time. We have a solid group of in-person parishioners, and also regular participants on our Facebook services (see link to the right of this page.) In case you miss it… worship services are archived on our Facebook page so you may access recent weeks at your convenience.

Safety Measures All are welcome to worship! We are observing safety measures out of love for one another: please self-patrol and worship online with us instead of in-person if covid 19 symptoms are present or if exposed to positive cases. Masks are presently optional for indoor worship.
